Feel intimidated at the prospect of leading a month? You are not alone, literally. You can find resources below that can serve as a guide in planning your month and learning about the SLUGs. Also, there are other SLUGs who have led months, planned events and shared their gifts, who are more than willing to share their wisdom with you in supporting you in sharing your light with all of us.

Vision

The vision of the Seattle and Sedona Ladies Underground Giving (SLUG) is to bring together a diverse group of women who help each other reach our highest potential through personal growth, fun activities and philanthropic efforts with the ultimate goal of creating a positive impact on all the lives we touch.

Mission Statement

Seattle and Sedona Ladies Underground Giving (SLUG) is a diverse group of women devoted to growing ourselves and dedicated to nourishing our local community. We do so through embracing the collective power of women, acceptance, support of one another and our strong commitment to giving. Through educating each other on uplifting and social activities in combination with outreach programs that revolve around our local community we leave a trail of love and goodness wherever we go.

How to Lead A Month

What to do when hosting your SLUG event!
Be excited this is going to be awesome.
This is a general guideline to ensure that you have adequate support and participation for your SLUG event.  If it is a SLUG Sisterhood meeting than the guidelines will be slightly different.  Contact a core SLUG member for details.

How to Build a Community

Turn off your TV
Leave your house
Know your neighbors
Look up when you are walking
Greet people
Sit on your stoop
Plant flowers
Use your library
Play together
Buy from local merchants
Share what you have
Help a lost dog
Take children to the park
Garden together
Support neighborhood schools
Fix it even if you didn't break it
Have pot lucks
Honor elders
Pick up litter
Read stories aloud
